Procurement Team Achieves CIPS Corporate Ethics Kitemark

24/02/2026

We’re pleased to announce that Welsh Water has once again been awarded the CIPS Corporate Ethics Kitemark - marking our fourth consecutive year of recognition for ethical excellence.

This achievement reflects our continued commitment to integrity, transparency, and responsible procurement practices, which included:

  • Ethics Training: All procurement staff completing ethics training, reinforcing our shared understanding of ethical standards.
  • Corporate Code of Ethics: We formally adopted the CIPS Corporate Code of Ethics and ensured that it is embedded in our policies and day-to-day approach.

Sam James thanked everyone involved in ensuring that Welsh Water retained this accreditation, saying ‘this is an important award, it gives reassurance to our customers and suppliers that we uphold the highest ethical standards. It has been real team effort that has enabled us to achieve this for the 4th year in a row.
